EARLY DARK
CABERNET - MERLOT 2017
IGP COMTE TOLOSAN
This outstanding wine is made in the vineyards of the Comte Tolosan area in southwest France. The maritime climate here and the old alluvial terraces provide well-drained, rocky environments for the vines, allowing for great flavour concentration in the grapes and deep, healthy root systems.
Made from one of the all-time great wine varietal pairings, Cabernet Sauvignon brings the structure and black fruit flavours of blackcurrant and bell pepper, while Merlot provides the palate weight and juicy fruit to the blend.
Tasting Note: The nose is fruity and aromatic, with some earthy and savoury notes on the palate before the juicy black fruits, plums, and some spices come through. It has a finish that is concentrated yet supple.
This is a great wine to drink anytime on its own as an aperitif, through the evening with finger food, or with your meal of spicy Asian or Indian cuisine.
