Abhay was Executive Director and Chief Wine Maker of United Spirits Limited – A Diageo Group Company’s wines segment until 2017. As a member of the company’s Management Committee, Abhay has a comprehensive understanding of the alcoholic beverage industry in India.
Abhay is a well-recognized person in the wine and alcoholic beverage industry, and he has been intimately involved in the establishment of firms such as Chateau Indage and Grover Vineyards, to name a few.
Abhay is one of the company’s founders and its managing director. He is also a promoter of Tetrad Microbreweries Pvt. Ltd., a microbrewery company that has recently started in Bangalore. He continues to serve as a consultant for both Alcobev and Indian wineries.
Has over four and a half decades of experience in the hospitality business. He has extensive knowledge and hands-on management and consulting experience with hotels, restaurants and bars. His interest in alcoholic beverages include wines, spirits, and craft beers, and has thus built deep knowledge of their history, production and selling of them.
Rishad has been a chef, executive chef & then held senior management positions within the Taj Group; SAS Hotels, Denmark; Spencer’s Hotels and Fiesta Restaurants in India, among others.
He has been a successful entrepreneur, co-owning the renowned boutique Highgates Hotel & owning and managing a large-scale catering business for two decades. Rishad is a sought-after hospitality consultant and has delivered more than 50 projects in India and internationally.
He is now Co- Founder and Executive Director of Tetrad Global Beverages.
